LMVFR COVID-19 Announcement
In light of the Corona Virus/COVID-19 pandemic that we find ourselves in at this time, Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire and Rescue (LMVFR) is taking recommended precautions to ensure that not only are you, our community but also our LMVFR members and their families are protected. As such, some of our procedures have been adjusted, especially on rescue squad calls. Where symptoms indicate possible COVID infection, we are limiting the number of personnel entering the scene to the minimum required. We are also requesting, that where possible patients walk out to the ambulance upon our arrival and wear the mask we provide. If that is not possible, the crew will enter the scene with personal protective equipment and provide all the necessary services. In imminent life-threatening situations, there are no such limitations.
LMVFR has continued to provide all emergency services during this crisis despite the financial strain and staffing challenges created by this situation. However, for the safety of the community LMVFR has suspended Bingo, and rentals of the John Maple Room are not available. We will provide notice of any changes as they occur.
