9/11 Memorial

As part of the fire department’s commitment and dedication to all the firefighters, police officers and civilians who perished on September 11, 2001, from the terrorist attacks in New York City, the Pentagon, and the fields of Shanksville, Pa., our members constructed a community 9/11 memorial, adjacent to the firehouse, focused on a piece of steel recovered from Tower 1 of the twin towers. Every year a ceremony is held on September 11th, open to all, to remember and honor those lost on that fateful day. The memorial is always open to everyone to visit and reflect.
